We welcome volunteers at all our care homes and hospitals.
We recognise the special impact that all of our volunteers have on the lives of the people who live with us. Each volunteer is unique, but they all have genuine compassion and a strong desire to help others.
The roles our volunteers play depends very much on their interests, the time they can give and the needs of the people who live with us.
Working alongside our staff, volunteers not only benefit our residents and patients, but also help us to build stronger links with our local communities.
Some volunteers have a particular skill, such as singing, crafts or yoga, which they want to share. Others prefer to offer companionship to residents who may not receive frequent visitors. Whatever our volunteers choose to give, everyone benefits.
All the members of our volunteer work force have their own reasons for choosing to be a volunteer. Some have built up a relationship with our residents while visiting their own friends and family and want to continue those relationships for as long as they can. Others are keen to give something back to their community and believe a role with Barchester is a good fit for what they have to offer.
Whatever the reason, we are happy to welcome volunteers into our care homes and hospitals where we can see the impact these amazing people have on the lives of our residents, patients and their families.
